spiritualinspiration:

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor…” (Isaiah 9:6, NIV)
Do you need wisdom or direction in your life today? The scripture tells us that Jesus is our Counselor. And He’s not just any kind of Counselor, He’s a Wonderful Counselor. When something is wonderful, it means it is unusually good, marvelous or astonishing. Think about that for a moment. God is a marvelous, astonishing, unusually good Counselor — the very best you could ever have!Today, no matter what you may be facing, no matter what kinds of decisions you have to make, consider God. Ask Him to direct your steps and confirm His perfect will for your life. Remember, He is the best counselor there is. Let Him direct and guide your path. Seek Him with your whole heart, put Him first, and let Him lead you in blessing and victory in every area of your life.

Raspberries from our backyard! :)

It was really EXTREMES. When I went out last friday, I was a little scared because the wind blew so strong and dark clouds were hovering and started blocking the clear blue sky.

Perhaps, after all, romance did not come into one’s life with pomp and blare, like a gay knight riding down; perhaps it crept to one’s side like an old friend through quiet ways; perhaps it revealed itself in seeming prose, until some sudden shaft of illumination flung athwart its pages betrayed the rhythm and the music; perhaps … perhaps … love unfolded naturally out of a beautiful friendship, as a golden-hearted rose slipping from its green sheath.”

So tired. Had to put my feet up!

Love the kiss! Sobrang cute. Sayang wala akong makitang may dialogue. From the film, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Anyone can cook. That’s what I got from “Ratatouille” (animated film). And I agree. Because cooking can be based on imagination. You can think of ingredients and how they taste like, add them together, season them according to your taste, then you have yourself a dish. But BAKING, that’s a different story. You can’t invent a baked product just by imagining the taste. There’s science involved (math, chemistry, physics, etc). You need to follow measurements and know some principles. So I can’t say anyone can bake. It takes practice and a mentor who is willing to teach you how.

Now about the pictures, (hehe) these are my revised s’mores cupcakes. They still have the graham crust at the bottom and the moist chocolate cupcake.  I made a marshmallow icing because it’s cheaper and easier when you’re at home. I toasted the marshmallow icing so it looks like it was roasted on bonfire. Then, for the added chocolatey goodness, I piped a chocolate frosting in the middle. Hope this WOWs our immigration consultant so she can do a better job in filing our papers. Ha Ha Ha

I’m dreaming of owning any of these soon. It has to be a KitchenAid Pro 600 series! Time to bake breads and cakes!
